How to generate a Stock Request

Navigate to your cost centre where the request is required using the Navigation Tree.

Note: It is important that a user first selects a cost centre before clicking on the order request , stock Request icon, Transfer or Order icon.

Expand the tree in order to locate the cost centre button and click on the + sign to list the cost Centers belonging to the branch. Make sure that you select the correct cost Centre and that it is highlighted before you click on the stock request button.

·    Requested From

This is where you will elect from where you would like to order your stock items from. You can select a cost centre by clicking on the selection arrow in the description box and selecting a cost centre from the drop down list. The drop down box will only display cost Centers where the user has access rights to order from.

These access rights and user profiles are set up by the companies system administrator when you were initially set up as a user in Procure.net

Note that the Requesting Cost Centre column in the data entry grid is automatically populated with the cost centre information when the user navigates through the navigation tree.

·    Remarks

The user can enter descriptive text in the Remarks field describing briefly the reason for the stock request. This text should be informative data relating to this particular Stock Request. For example: “Urgent – We have no stock!”

·    Ref Number

If you had to issue stock on a manual request or any other form, then the reference number on the manual document can be recorded in the reference field by clicking on the reference button and entering the information into the field.

Enter your reference number in the description box and then click on the Ok button to continue.

Once you are finished entering all the information in the supplier information screen, you have to hit the Enter button on your keyboard. Your cursor then moves to the first line on the data entry grid where you can start entering stock item numbers for the stock that you require.
